虹彩【kosai】

Using hand-spun floss silk yarn on both the warp and the weft, the fabric has acquired a texture often referred to as “the true tsumugi (pongee woven cloth).” Woven with a vertical yoroke (wavy) pattern, this unique roll of fabric is available nowhere else.

濤波【toha】

Crisp to the touch, this fabric has a rare quality for something coming from the center of tsumugi (pongee woven cloth) production. However, it’s great for summer wear.

Using etra-twisted silk yarn, it is woven with a vertical yoroke (wavy)pattern.

米澤平【yonezawahira】

Another representative product of Nitta, this has been a part of our lineup since the company was founded in 1884.

It’s combination of comfort and lustrous beauty is especially noticeable when it’s used for hakama skirting.
Non-twisted yarn is traditionally used in both the warp and the weft.

 

手織八寸帯【teorihassun-obi】

Woven with yarn made from floss silk in both the warp and the weft, the Hassun-Nagoya style obi belt has a very unique texture.
Exceptionally light-weight, it can be use in any season except for the height of summer.

 

SHIKIDORI

Interior decorative panels are made from ‘kiredori,’ which are the patchwork kimono remnants left behind by generations of Nitta family weavers.

The panels depict the colors of the four seasons in Yonezawa.
